Nusa Penida's Diamond Beach only became accessible in late 2018, when the path down to the beach was carved and shaped to allow tourists to walk down the cliffs. Prior to the construction of the road, the only way to have a view of the beauty of the beach would have been from above.

Although the road is still a guardrail walkway, you can safely reach the bottom if careful. At the bottom of Diamond Beach Nusa Penida, there is a perfect stretch of white sand and the water is a bright turquoise.

However, it is the large rock in the shape of a diamond that is the symbol of this beach and, in my opinion, one of the most extraordinary beaches in the world.

Like most beaches, Diamond Beach definitely has an attraction that makes tourists stay longer. Some of the things that really catch the attention of people who visit it are:

1. Natural beach

Many beaches in Nusa Penida are untouched by man. One of the flagship beaches is Diamond Beach. This beach still feels very natural with the colour of the sea water being very blue and beautiful.

It is surrounded by a number of other beaches and is a must if you are on holiday in Nusa Penida.

2. Clean white beach sand

The second attraction is that the beach sand is very white and clean, which makes visitors feel more at home. You can play with your family and children on this sandy beach, so the atmosphere will be very pleasant.

3. Surrounded by karst cliffs

Interestingly, this beach is surrounded by karst cliffs. Karst itself is a form of closed depression on the earth's surface, surface drainage and caves. This beach, surrounded by karst cliffs, will feel very natural.

4. Towering karst cliffs

Entrance fees and access to Diamond Beach Nusa Penida

The island of Nusa Penida itself is located in the south-eastern part of the island of Bali, so if you want to get there you will have to use sea or air transport, such as a helicopter for those with a large holiday budget.

Usually tourists take a speedboat from Sanur Beach at a fairly affordable price of just Rp 150,000 per person. The journey takes 40 minutes to Nyuh Pier, Nusa Penida.

Once you arrive at the pier, you can rent transportation such as a car or motorbike. It is recommended that those who have few members can just rent a motorbike at an affordable price, namely Rp. 90,000,- only per day. However, for cars it can reach Rp. 600.000,- per day.

Be careful if you're using a motorbike as the road is rough and can be dangerous in places if you don't slow down and take care!

From the car park it is a short walk, but not as steep as to Diamond Beach.
